Pumpkin Smoothie

Fall Flavors Smoothie

Pumpkin Smoothie

This time of year there’s a lot of pumpkin drinks for sale. Rather than buy one, I made my own; a pumpkin smoothie. Most pumpkin smoothie recipes use canned pumpkin but I didn’t want to open a whole can of pumpkin when I only needed a tablespoon or two for the smoothie. So I didn’t use pumpkin at all and used pumpkin pie spice instead. I ended up with a drink that has a pumpkin pie flavor without having to use pumpkin. I guess that makes it more of a “fall flavor” smoothie. Anyway, here’s the recipe. And if you want more healthy smoothie recipes, check out my smoothie ebook. Enjoy!

Pumpkin Smoothie
1-1/2 cups almond milk
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/2 banana, fresh or frozen
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (or to taste)
1/2 cup ice

Place everything in a blender and blend until smooth. Add additional ice, if needed, until you reach the consistency you like. Garnish the top with a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice.
